More rain, more Gaudi!

Sunday turned out rainy again – by which I mean the torrential, non stop variety 😦

As Tash was flying out from Barcelona we decided to put our new found Gaudi expertise into the physical context, and go to have a shufty at his finest work – the Sagrada Famillia.

I’m not big into churches, but if you are going to see any then this is the one! Combining awe inspiring scale with amazing attention to detail, there’s always something surprising round the corner. My favourite funky detail was the snail shaped gargoyles.

Follow that up with a seafood paella, and you’ve got the making of a decent day. Hugs at the airport then back to the campsite bar to catch the last half of the Barca game on telly. Then a few anxious hours until Tashy’s safe arrival at home is confirmed.
